Laboratory Workbench Spill Tray
Laboratory safety is of paramount importance, and a laboratory workbench spill tray is a crucial part of that. It’s designed to catch the overflow of any chemicals or other hazardous substances placed on it, reducing the possibility of those substances damaging nearby equipment or becoming a health hazard.
It works equally as well for liquid and powder chemicals, ensuring it can be used in environments where both types of hazardous substance may be in frequent use. The Enpac laboratory spill tray was designed and manufactured by a company completely focused on protecting the environment from hazardous substances, and their spill tray is a small version of the tools they use to prevent hazardous substances from becoming dangerous elsewhere.
Benefits of using the Enpac Laboratory Workbench Spill Tray
As it is designed specifically for use with hazardous substances and chemicals, this laboratory workbench tray does not succumb to corrosion nor will it rust. It comes with a removable grate for easy cleaning, allowing straightforward access to the interior of the unit which prevents operatives needing to push clothes through the grate for cleaning purposes.
The large surface of the laboratory workbench spill tray can hold up to four 1-gallon bottles of chemicals, with the sump able to hold 2.5 gallons, ensuring that even a substantial leak from a bottle will be protected. The overall dimensions of this Enpac laboratory workbench spill tray are: 70mm (h) x 630mm (w) and 550mm (d). It weighs 4lbs and the overall load capacity of the tray is 40lbs.
Uses of the Laboratory Workbench Spill Tray
Although the name suggests it should be used in a laboratory, the laboratory workbench spill tray can be used wherever hazardous substances need to be contained. It has a low-profile, unobtrusive design, meaning it will sit comfortably in any location without becoming a distraction.
That makes it the ideal accompaniment for anyone who uses hazardous substances in their daily activities, whether that’s within a laboratory environment or elsewhere on an industrial site. Choosing this laboratory workbench spill tray is an important step towards chemical safety in any commercial location.
